PRODUCTION INFORMATION & TERMS
STOCK CHOICES
We have many paper stock choices available for full-color printing. Most commonly used for brochures is 80 lb. gloss enamel. Rack cards and business cards are usually printed on C1S (Coated One Side). Flyers and promotion pieces, catalog pages, etc. can be printed on a number of stocks. Call for more details.
BACKGROUND & COLOR INFORMATION
Standard color and color tint backgrounds can be added at no extra charge. Special effects, texture-looks, metallic inks, graduated coloring, and other effects are available at an additional charge. Bleeds can be done on 9 x 12 brochures, 4 x 9 rack cards, and 8½ x 11 flyers at no additional charge. Call for pricing on other items with bleeds.
PHOTO QUALITY
To ensure the best quality reproduction, the subject should be clear and well-focused. Pay careful attention to shadows and highlights. While computers are able to enhance and change some photos, not everything can be corrected. Photo touch-ups are available for an additional charge. The prepress department will gladly help you decide whether or not a photo will reproduce well or if retouching will help. If you need photos, a photography service is available at an additional charge.
SUPPLIED DISKS
If you supply a disk for the output of your print job, you can avoid prepress charges provided the disk opens and prints correctly. Please refer to "Preparing Your Files" for instructions on how to prepare and check your disk. Once we open your disk, you will be provided with one high-resolution color printout for signature approval. Any changes or additional proofs after this point will be billed accordingly. Sault Printing is not responsible for errors on files supplied by the customer.
DEPOSIT REQUIRED
All full-color print jobs require a 25% deposit at time of ordering, unless special arrangement have been made for payment. An additional 25% is required upon proof approval and the balance will be due upon receipt of order. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, check, money order or cash.
CHANGES AND APPROVAL
Each time a proof is submitted, you will receive a form for indicating changes or approval. All changes must be submitted in writing, and noted directly on the proof copy provided. Upon approval of the preliminary proof, a high-resolution color proof will be provided for signature approval. When this proof form is signed and returned with the color proof, negatives will be run and the job will be sent to press. Sault Printing is not responsible for any errors once an approval form has been signed, so please examine all proofs very carefully and make sure all information is correct.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If an order is cancelled at any time before it is sent to press, the customer will be charged for all work done to date. Once an order is on press it cannot be cancelled and the customer will be responsible for the full amount of the job.
ORIGINAL MATERIALS
Once your job is completed, all original photos and disks provided to us will be returned to you, including photos that Sault Printing may have taken for you.
OVERRUN/UNDERRUN
On all four-color printing, an overrun or underrun is to be expected. You may receive up to 10% over or underrun. Overrun and underrun will be billed accordingly.
SHIPPING AND TAXES
All orders are subject to Michigan 6% sales tax. Freight charges will be billed if you request UPS shipment. Otherwise your order can be delivered on a scheduled visit from our sales staff.
